nimblejack would like to make clear for our Indianapolis neighbors, our statewide business community, and the many eyes in this nation who have followed the debate over SB101:
This company serves everyone.
Whether a client, employee, or partner, nimblejack celebrates and welcomes all individuals regardless of sexual orientation, race, religious affiliation, or any other basis for discrimination. We are a stronger company because of the talents of the many diverse staff we possess; and we become a better company every day in relating to our diverse clientele who entrust us with their critical business communications. Empathy and listening are a big part of who we are. Our doors remain open.
As a preferred services partner, nimblejack is also very proud to share a public stance with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, a business giant vital to Indiana’s continued economic success — and a true leader in this matter. We agree strongly with CEO Scott McCorkle when he says, “Our success is fundamentally based on our ability to attract and retain the best and most diverse pool of highly skilled employees, regardless of gender, religious affiliation, ethnicity or sexual orientation.”
Last year, our Phoenix office contended with a very similar piece of legislation, Arizona’s SB 1062, which was fortunately vetoed by Governor Jan Brewer on grounds that it “could result in unintended and negative consequences.” We reached out to Governor Mike Pence, who has often been a great ally to businesses in Indiana, to respectfully ask that he veto SB 101.
We are disappointed by the Governor’s recent signing of the bill. A veto of it was not just the right decision for our businesses; it was the moral decision for our entire community.
We don’t have a storefront window to place our sticker, but we stand tall with colleagues like Salesforce, Cummins, Eskenazi Health, Eli Lilly and Co., Mayor Ballard, our sister company xiik, and a fast-growing community of businesses, organizations, religious groups and individuals who believe that the route to a prosperous Indiana lies in fostering a society of inclusion.
We hope you’ll join us in celebrating diversity in a visible way by expressing your support at Open4Service.org.
