Q: Tell us about some of your biggest wins in your career?
A: I don’t really think about individual wins; to me the big wins that are memorable have come from a combined effort between sales, services, and of course the client. When we are all working together towards the same objective the end result is much more likely to be tremendously successful for everyone. Over the course of my career I have had a chance to be a part of some really special teams and organizations. I’d like to think that I contributed in positive ways to those teams, and I know that I learned and grew both personally and professionally from each experience.
Q: When you come into a leadership position at a new company, where do you start?
A:First, I think it is important to understand the culture of our company and how that culture is demonstrated through our performance. If we demonstrate passion and excellence in our work every day then that passion and high performance will be visible and impactful to those around us, including clients, partners, vendors, and of course our teammates. Of course, we then need to continue to build those relationships to create something that is truly special for all involved. At the same time, I bring a different perspective and experience set to the leadership team, and while we might not alway agree on everything, sometimes just bringing a different perspective can help open up dialogue towards what is ultimately a better answer to a problem or challenging situation.
Q: How do you engage a go-to-market team to ensure their success and that they drive the company to growth?
A: To me, it’s about taking the passion for what we can do and aligning it with a message that will resonate with our clients and prospective clients. Our message needs to be follow by action, and our team needs to understand that we bear the burden for guiding our clients and prospects through a process that if followed will lead to a positive outcome for all involved. The GTM team bears a tremendous responsibility for driving growth, but also driving that growth the nimblejack way, and earning the trust and confidence of our clients, prospects, and partners is absolutely critical to all of us at nimblejack.
Q: Your favorite thing about being a part of the nimblejack team?
A: I believe that we have a tremendous opportunity to provide solutions to problems that are important to marketers, and my favorite thing about being a jack is that everyone here not only recognizes that opportunity but embraces it. We relish in solving the difficult problems for our clients!
Q: What are your hopes for the future of nimblejack?
We have a vision for growth that aligns with nimblejack being considered the best email marketing solutions services organization anywhere, and my hope is that as we achieve our goals that we can also continue to maintain the culture and passion for success that has helped build the company to this point.
Q: How do you maintain work/life balance?
A: My life outside of nimblejack revolves completely around my family, and I am so appreciative of their support of my role at work. We try to keep some special time each week that is just for family and I work hard to make certain that happens. While I love my work and truly enjoy the time and effort that I put into it, taking time to reflect upon and enjoy life outside of work is also very important and I try to always remember that. Any success at work is ultimately less meaningful without having a family with whom I can share that success.
