Get behind the gloves and meet Topher Overstreet, CEO of nimblejack and the company’s visioneer.

Q: How do you define vision?

A: Defining a goal and being diligent toward marching toward it. You see it every day in everything you do and reach for it, but you also watch for potential pitfalls that may alter your path along the way.

Q: Given that definition, what makes nimblejack unique?

A: nimblejack has the unique vision of becoming an incredibly agile and adaptable company. When we paint the picture of how we’ll look in a few years, it gets a little blurry around the corners. But that’s only because that part of the painting is flexible. That’s part of what makes us nimble.

Q: What’s the story behind the nimblejack name?

A: It’s a play on “Jack Be Nimble.” We grew from a service that we originally knew very little about, and within two years we had become a nationally-recognized expert in it. We tackle challenges daily and never question our ability to adapt to whatever environment the world throws at us.

Q: What are the elements that make up a worthwhile goal?

A: There’s the typical SMART acronym, but the one I put the most energy toward is the “R”: results-focused. Oftentimes, people set goals that cure symptoms, but miss the true problem. We don’t build email campaigns or assist in client communications; we drive demand, improve ROI and create brand evangelists. That’s the results part.

Q: What Star Wars character do you channel when envisioning the future of nimblejack?

A: Yoda. Don’t judge a person, company or competitor by its size. We’ve seen how successful a small, but passionate, group can be when it works together as a team.
